fixed!

alas, the first bike i bought what seems like so long ago seen here. i had high hopes of a cool vintage road bike and very quickly he was relinquished to something like 5th tier, now he reigns supreme once again, after breathing new life and purpose into him, my BSA fixed gear.

my friend jeff basically broke the whole thing down and had to bang on many, many parts as it had totally been hit or fell really hard, the frame, fork, cranks, chainring, etc etc were all bent.

it has a new back wheel, pedals, cream tires, porteur bars, inverse brake levers (cuz i'm not about to try to learn riding fixed without brakes) a brooks b17 saddle, and a new 3t stem.

make no mistake this was an incredibly expensive refit, but alas, it has a purpose and a reason to remain in the stable.

also, this was my first experiment in wrapping bars in cotton tape and shellacking.

here's a shot of the bars

and a shot of the twining

here is to safely learning and no pedal strikes!!!
